1. One hair treatment is NOT enough!
In the name of fashion, we put our tresses under a lot of stress. From the frequent bleaching to rebonding to other chemical services, our hair loses a lot of moisture and proteins during the hair colouring process.
Vibrant hair colours, especially, often require at least one bleaching and one hair colouring service. What this means is that the hair cuticles are opened TWICE during the colouring process - once when stripping off your natural hair colour and one more time when you deposit new colour pigments.
This process causes so much leakage of proteins and moisture that a single hair treatment is insufficient to replenish all that is lost!
2. Complementary hair treatments mean that you can get more than double the benefits from a double treatment!
Hair treatments tend to have 3 functions: Reconstructing, Moisturizing and Conditioning. Protein based treatments that reconstruct bonds to make hair stronger, Moisturizers increase moisture content within the hair while Conditioners close the cuticles to improve its water resistance and prevent frizz.
Some hair treatments are better at reconstructing while others are better at moisturizing and conditioning.
If the right double treatments are chosen, the hair treatments can work in a complementary manner to not only reconstruct bonds to make hair stronger but also increase moisture content within the hair and lock all that in! This means that your hair effectively gets more than double the benefits when compared to you going for the hair treatments on 2 separate occasions!

3. Double hair treatments helps your hair colour and perm stay on longer.
Porosity of hair is a major reason why some people’s hair colour fades faster than others and why perms can’t hold on some hair. If your hair is devoid of important chemicals, the cortex is unable to hold the colour or shape for long. The colour or perm service increases the pH level of your hair and causes the cuticle to open, leaking nutrients within the hair. A double treatment will be able to replenish the required nutrients more effectively, making sure that the colour stays on the cortex longer and curls remain bouncy.

4. Double hair treatments are more effective in defrizzing your hair for a longer period of time!
With the hair being pumped with the goodness of two treatments, the hair stays smoother longer as it takes longer for the proteins to leak out from the hair. Especially for weddings and events where you sometimes wish for some real-time photoshopping for your hair, a double hair treatment can save you from a bad hair day by ensuring that your hair is defrizzed for a longer period of time!
If your usual treatment last 1 week, a double hair treatment should be able to last for 2 weeks or more!

5. You save time and money by getting two treatments done at one time
Instead of coming back to the salon every 2-3 weeks to do a hair treatment, the double treatment will allow you to come back every 4-6 weeks, saving you the time to return to the salon – perfect for time strapped ladies! It is also often cheaper to get two treatments done at one go.
In fact, Salon Vim is introducing their new Multi-tasking Double Treatments at $180 (UP: 400) as an online exclusive for first-timers. Given that the price of two treatments are now the price of one, it also makes financial sense to go for a double treatment rather than a single treatment now. (We hear that the first 100 will also get a travel-size Kerastase shampoo!)
